The Systems Behind a Well-Run Venue

What I have been building

For the past three months I have been putting together a complete operating suite for hospitality businesses. It is a full library of documents that covers the practical running of a venue, from the ground up.

Foundation and governance. Recruitment and employment. Employee onboarding, position descriptions, performance management. HR policies and standard operating procedures. Cash-up procedures, cleaning routines, opening and closing. Workplace health and safety, food safety, beverage and wine, events and functions. Payroll and rostering, purchasing and inventory, compliance, templates and registers. Even guidance on using the software and tools that keep it all moving.

It is a lot. That is rather the point. Running a venue is a lot, and having the systems written down, ready to hand to a new team member or pull out when you need them, changes how the whole operation feels.

Why this is different

Here is the part that matters most to me.

There is no shortage of templates floating around online, and plenty of them are generated by a machine and never looked at again. The trouble is that when it comes to employment and compliance, a document that is almost right can cost you dearly. It may not hold up. It may not reflect current obligations. It may leave you exposed in exactly the moment you were relying on it.

Every document in this suite has been checked and run through Fair Work by a qualified HR manager. These are tested, compliant and ready to use, with a real person standing behind the answers. You are not gambling on whether the wording holds. That is the difference between a template and a system you can actually trust.

How it works

You will be able to buy the whole suite, or just the sections you need if you are only after one part of the picture.

Documents can come to you unbranded, so you can tailor them to suit your own venue, or we can brand and customise them for you. If you would rather sit down together and work out exactly which pieces you need, we can do that too through a consultation.

And because compliance does not stand still, subscribers will be kept up to date. Whenever changes come through from Fair Work, we will let you know what needs updating on your documents, so you are never working from something out of date.

Where things are up to

The suite is in production now. Several sections are already finished and available, including foundation and governance, recruitment, employment and employee onboarding. I will be rolling more out over the coming weeks.

If you have ever wished someone would just hand you the systems, tested, compliant and ready to go, this is that. I would love to talk you through it. Get in touch and let me know which part of your venue you would most like to get sorted first.
